lol. I love finding those. They must do it to be funny... right? The contrast to the site's otherwise academic tone makes me wonder. And laugh harder.
Maybe it's a clever polyglot hoping to catch proud high-schoolers off guard. Sort of a "use online translaters with caution or you WILL sound like an idiot" kind of thing.
Funny, in a weird sort of way.
From what I can see (went to look in the dictionary), the sentences marked with an asterisk are not translations of the ones above, just different sample sentences.
